Beaches
Humboldt Bay is home to a rugged coastline with gorgeous beaches. If you’re planning a beach visit, here are some of our favorite spots:
King Salmon Beach: Discover the beauty of this quiet beach community just a few miles south of Eureka. It’s a great spot for fishing and boat watching. The beach is in the bay, so the waters are very calm.
Samoa Dunes Recreation Area: Samoa Dunes is known for gorgeous views and beachcombing. It's a great spot for surfing and walking along stretches of sand and dunes. The surf is quite strong, so it’s a better beach for walking than swimming.
Mad River County Park: Mad River County Park is one of Redwood Coast's best beaches for picnics, beachcombing, and fishing. It’s also popular for birdwatching and picnicking. It’s dog-friendly and a perfect spot to take your dog for a walk.
