Historic William Carson MansionBuilt between 1884 and 1885, the Carson Mansion is one of the most popular stops in Old Town Eureka. William Carson, who made his fortune in lumber milling, and his wife Sarah constructed the 18-room Victorian to suit their needs with local materials like redwood, blended with primavera, stained glass, onyx and marble from around the world. Since 1950, the beautiful structure has been owned and operated by the Ingomar Club, a private restoration and preservation society.
